Barbara E. Jones

Barbara E. Jones, 85, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Parkview Hospital in Logansport.  She was born February 11, 1941, in Logansport to Charles F. and Anne (Bragg) Van Briggle.   She married the love of her life, Jackie Lee Jones on June 5, 1960, at the Baptist Temple in Logansport. Jackie preceded her in death on December 21, 2025.

Barbara was a homemaker and loved her family dearly.   She enjoyed Home Ec Club, quilting, crafting, gardening, cooking, baking, reading and she loved to play gin rummy.

Surviving family include her children, Beth (Rick) Johns of Walton; Laura (Ryan) Franscoviak of Royal Center; and Steve (Teresa) Jones of Massachusetts.  Surviving grandchildren are, Kristopher (Allie) Johns, Ryan Johns, Lance Rohrabaugh, Coty Rohrabaugh, Caleb Franscoviak, Stephanie (Brian) Mumpower, Kristi Prichett and Michelle (Nate) Hicks.  She is also survived by several great grandchildren and one sister, Patricia Kleinmaier of North Carolina.  Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jackie and one great grandchild.

Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband Jackie in the Galveston Cemetery.  Funeral services will be private for family.
