Mildred Doris “Millie” (Bruce) Lesher

Mildred Doris “Millie” Lesher, age 83, Logansport, passed away peacefully at 4:20 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2026, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born May 1, 1943, in Friendship Township, Emmet County, Michigan, she was the daughter of William Henry Bruce and Edith Loretta Hoover Bruce.

Millie was married to Dr. Thomas Morris Lesher, who preceded her in death.

A 1961 graduate of Harbor Springs High School, she led an active life with many interests, including Girl Scout leader, playing volleyball, snow skiing, playing the guitar and singing hymns. She and her husband were world travelers. Throughout her lifetime Millie was known for her characteristic friendliness and hospitality. She found good in every person.

Millie loved the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

Surviving are her siblings, Robert William Bruce (wife Mary) Clermont, Florida, Shirley Doreen Bruce Honson (husband Charles, Sr), Oden, Michigan, Donna Gayle Bruce Wheeler (husband Greg), Harbor Springs, Michigan, and Norman Dale Bruce, Alanson, Michigan. Also surviving is a number of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service in Harbor Springs is planned for a later date. Interment will be in Harbor Springs.
