Jeffrey George Todd, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 58 years old.
Jeff was born to the late George and Loretta Todd in Bedford Indiana as the oldest of two children. He had a wonderful childhood growing up in Indiana, Michigan and Illinois where he graduated from Crystal Lake High School. He attended the University of Iowa and then transferred to Western Michigan University after his mother passed away. That is where he met the love of her life, Tammy Miller. They were married on April 4, 1992, and celebrated thirty-four wedding anniversaries together.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Tammy. He is also survived by his three sons Jeffrey George Todd Jr (Bethany), Kevin George Todd (Chloe) and Nicholas George Todd and his granddaughter, Lily Todd (Jeff and Beth) and his sister Angela Hindman (John) and their children Conner and Josi. He is also survived by his loving stepmother, Beverely Todd VanderHeide (Bob), his sister-in-law Sheila Earll (Jeff) and their children Steven, Max and Michael, many stepsisters, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kassandra Marie Todd, his father, George Todd and his mother, Loretta Todd.
Jeff spent his early childhood in Bedford where he developed his knack for fixing things. This continued when he moved to Illinois and Michigan where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His first job was at GE where he stayed until his father bought SUS Cast Products. The purchase of this company led Jeff and Tammy to leave Michigan and relocate to Logansport, Indiana where they spent the last 33 years of their life together. Jeff’s love of The Lord was evident in all he did. He was active in multiple charities including donating to the cancer center in Logansport.
He was also a beloved member of All Saints Catholic church where, amongst his giving back, he volunteered by teaching many years of confirmation classes strengthening countless children in The Faith. He also helped with the youth group. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and Grand Knight of the All Saints Knights of Columbus Council. Jeff’s patron saint was St. Joseph, a saint who worked with his hands and led with humility. Jeff aspired to be like St. Joseph. Jeff was a true leader putting Christ and His Church first and showing his family and friends where true peace lies.
Jeff was always working with his hands and was always willing to help others through his actions. Jeff loved to help diagnose and repair anyone’s equipment whether it be motorcycles, cars, lawnmowers or snowblowers. Jeff’s garage was always open.
